Leaving Money on the Table

Recently, a networking buddy asked, “What do you say to the small business owner who is uninterested or cannot afford a website?” Reflecting on my initial response to the owner of Paladin Pest Control, it may not have been as succinct and direct as intended.

A similar question arose earlier this week: “Why should my mother invest in a website for her screenprint t-shirt business?”

Without a website, a small business misses opportunities, leaving money on the table for the competition to grab.

In many ways, a website is a small business owner’s most dedicated employee, working 24 / 7 on behalf of the business to attract new business and capitalize on untapped opportunities.

Through a myriad of networking events, I have honed my responses, clarified Matilti’s unique value proposition, and gained insight into peers’ priorities as they work tirelessly to attain success. Life is, after all, a work-in-progress.

Much like the journey of small business ownership itself, a website requires thoughtful upkeep. However, once well-designed, it works a bit more independently - championing the business owner and grabbing that dinero from the table.

Hasta la próxima!
